Fire Risk Assessments
The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 applies to all non-domestic premises in England and Wales, including the common parts of blocks of flats and requires that the responsible person provides a “suitable and sufficient” Fire Risk Assessment.
Our fire risk assessors are ex fire service officers and have a great deal of experience in all apects of fire safety.
The law applies to you if you are:
Responsible for business premises
An employer or self-employed with business premises
Responsible for a part of a dwelling where that part is solely used for business purposes
A charity or voluntary organisation
A contractor with a degree of control over any premises
Providing accommodation for paying guests
Under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, the responsible person must carry out a fire safety risk assessment and implement and maintain a fire management plan.
How does it work?
Step 1 – Contact us for a quotation.
Step 2 – We will arrange a convenient appointment and carry out a survey of the premises.
Step 3 – The completed fire risk assessment will be sent to your postal address – an electronic copy will also be sent to you for safe keeping.
Your Fire Risk Assessment
The risk assessment we carry out will set a “bench mark” for the building and will tell you what (if anything) needs to be addressed in order to comply with fire safety regulations. Your fire risk assessment can be reviewed “in house” from then on.
The report will include plans of your building that act as an easy reference guide to the report.
Essex Fire Safety offer to liaise with any third party on your behalf, and at no extra cost, to help you get your building to comply with the Fire Safety Order.
