New Regulations

The Fire Safety Order (FSO) 2005 became law on 1st October 2006. From that moment on, the Fire Service were no longer be responsible Risk Assessments for ensuring your workplace is safe from fire. That duty fell to "The responsible person" in your workplace and they will be held accountable under the new legislation. You are required by law to provide a risk assessment that will be audited by the Fire Service, along with any associated documents. Failure to provide an adequate risk assessment may lead to prosecution.

Where we come in

Where we come inWith experience as specialist Fire Prevention Officers dealing with all aspects of fire precautionary arrangements and consultation under the building regulations; we are able to provide risk assessments that are guaranteed to meet the requirements of the Fire Authority.

Essex Fire Safety Ltd offers a full refund should the Fire Authority deem our risk assessments are unsuitable. However, technical knowledge on its own is quite often insufficient and experience in this field allows us to offer practical solutions to otherwise restrictive guidelines prescribed by the government.

All our risk assessments are audited by a second ex Fire Prevention Officer to ensure that our customers are getting the best advice available. We offer a free initial survey after which we provide an estimated cost of providing a full Fire Risk assessment.

With our experience in Fire Safety and by applying the regulations practically we are often able to save our customers more money than our fee.
Once we have completed your Fire Risk Assessment, free advice and support is available through our 24 hour helpline, and we will also undertake to liaise with any third parties such as the Fire Service, Local Authority etc. at no extra charge.

In the unlikely event that our risk assessment is not accepted by the Fire Authority we offer a full refund.

Risk assessment manualsOur risk assessments also provide all the documentation needed for you to review and amend, if necessary, without the need for any additional costs, but if you do need advice in the future, help is available 24 hours a day on our free helpline.
